About us

Allied Clinical Management GmbH was founded in 2004 by Michael Roehl who saw a need to combine high quality monitoring with speed in order to deliver critical information quickly to sponsors of phase I to III clinical trials. In practice this enabled sponsors to make pivotal decisions earlier and to cut costs during clinical studies. His formula of synthesizing valuable information with speed proved successful and ACM now counts among its customers large international pharmaceutical companies and small biotechs. Michael left New York in 1991 to come to Berlin and is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he studied Economics and German. He worked previously with Schering AG from 2000 to 2004 as a consultant before founding ACM.

In 2006, Jörg Korb joined ACM as a full partner. Jörg was just concluding a ten-year long tenure at the oral and maxillofacial surgery department at the world-renowned Charité Clinic in Berlin. At the Charité, he accumulated extensive hands-on clinical trial experience in medical devices used in facial reconstruction after accidents and tumor surgery as well as in micro-vascular transplants. Jörg's clinical experience is a valuable contribution to the management team at ACM.

ACM's clinical trial service platform comprises feasibility assessments, site selection, EC and RA submissions, trial set-up, budgeting, trial management, site management and monitoring, drug accountability and archiving of clinical study documentation and proof-reading and translations. These services can be combined in a package or contracted out separately. An example is a recent contract for ACM to conduct drug accountability QA visits throughout western and central Europe and Israel.

The cornerstone of our services remains clinical monitoring, which is conducted by our pool of experienced and motivated GCP-trained CRAs. Our skilled team of project managers works closely with our monitoring group to manage and conduct clinical studies according to the latest GCP requirements.
