HIV
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is presently one of the most common causes of death worldwide and has taken a leading position as one of the most deadly diseases ever.
HIV has a long incubation period that leads to the immune disease AIDS. Research is being conducted with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for this disease. Until this can be achieved, various HIV retroviral treatments have shown in clinical trials and post marketing research that through retro-viral treatment, the course of the disease in the patient can be slowed in order to prolong the life expectancy and improve the general quality of life of HIV patients.
